Banking Media Identity Software:

Security of media and customer identity information has certainly come under scrutiny and concern in the last few years. Many large banks have taken steps to protect this identity media both within their facilities and as the media are transported to other data centers or mass storage facilities for protection. SecurLynx has developed and installed an RFID solution to enable the confirmation and tracking of media as it is being loaded into transport containers, transferred in and out of a data centers or facilities, and finally unloaded from the transport container at the final destination. The system allows two custodial relationships to be assigned during the process, that is, the assigning of the media to the container and then the container to a person. Using this methodology, absolute accountability is maintained during the process. The solution utilizes SecurLynx’s handheld and server software combined with active tag and passive tag RFID technologies from Axcess Inc. and Motorola.
